Only a Junior, Dreyer Commits to USC for Lacrosse

Readers loved reading about Kelsey Dreyer, when she signed a letter of intent to play for USC in March, as well as earlier this month when she officially signed with the school.

Pop Warner Cheerleaders Heading to Nationals

After taking the regional titles, two squads earned trips to the National Cheer Championships in Florida for the first time in Watchung Hills Pop Warner history. Once there, the Jr. Midget and the Pee Wee squads continued to perform impressively, with the Jr. Midget squad grabbing second place and the Pee Wees taking third.

Watchung Hills Wolverines Pee Wee Champs

When the Wolverines hit Linden at Rutgers Stadium Nov. 27,  the team was ready and motivated. They crushed the state's next best team 20-0 to take the title.

“Both the offensive and defensive lines stepped up their game today and had their best game of the year,” Head coach George Lazo said after the game.

Our photo feature of the Warriors first home game Sept. 23 was enjoyed by many readers, although it was a soggy—and cold—night. The Warriors played Westfield well, but fell 21-0.

NFL Players Used Nearby Gym During Lockout

This feature from August highlighted the players going to the Total Energy System Training (TEST) Sports Club on Washington Valley Road in Martinsville during the players' lockout in the spring and summer.

“I started doing work in the early 90s when I did work with (former NFL quarterback) Neil O’Donnell,” founder Brian Martin said. “He played at Madison High School and then went on to play his college ball at Maryland before making the NFL.”
