Warren Student Signs to Play Baseball at Iona College

Andrew Camiolo notes baseball program's reputation.

Immaculata Spartan Andrew Camiolo, of Warren, signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.

A left-handed pitcher, Camiolo loved Iona’s campus, the baseball program, the proximity to home, andthe opportunity to play as a freshman next year.

“Immaculata has a great reputation for its baseball program and that’s what initially attracted me to the school,” Camiolo said.

He credits his coaches, teammates, and teachers for getting him ready for playing baseball on a collegiate level. Former Varsity Baseball Coach Tom Gambino, who now serves as the school’s athletic director, feels that Camiolo has great potential because of his pitch velocity, positive influence on his teammates, and his willingness to do whatever it takes to contribute to winning.
