Watchung Hills Ready for Stiff Competition [VIDEO]

Soccer powerhouse East Brunswick will be the Warriors' first opponent when the season starts, giving first-year Head Coach Sean Mealy plenty to be concerned about—one thing he won't have to worry about, though, is how his players will react.

"I've been coaching these kids since they were in the seventh-grade," Mealy said, adding he worked with the core players on the team when the girls soccer program at Warren Middle School was launched.

And after a rebuilding year, follwing the team's state championship 2010 season, his players are ready for the big games. 

Mealy said most of team's opponents will match up well against the Warriors, but Montgomery is always a tough foe, and starting the season in the states top 20 makes East Brunswick another hurdle for the Warriors' season.

But Mealy said the return of key players, including Jessica Soldiviero and Jessica Heifetz, should keep the Warriors in all the games.
