The Watchung Hills football team beat Immaculata High School on Friday night in one of the team's biggest wins in school history.
The score was 20-10, and Watchung Hills now has a season record of 3-1.
A Joe Giacomo to Jake Bloom touchdown pass opened the scoring for Watchung Hills, said Glenn Mastrobattista, president of the Watchung Hills Warriors Touchdown Club.
Ben Gomes then added a rushing touchdown and Ryan Cunningham, who ran wild against the Immaculata defense, capped off the win with a breakaway rushing touchdown, Mastrobattista said.
The defense was stellar in shutting down a potent Spartan offense, played on Immaculata's home field in Somerville, in what was an epic win for Marc Criasfi and the now 3-1 Warriors, he said.
The Warriors next face Plainfield next Friday at 7 p.m. at home.
