Chip In for Pop Warner Programs at Golf Outing

Friday's event helps support maintenance of football, cheerleading programs.

The Watchung Hills Pop Warner annual Golf Outing and Fundraiser is one of the key sources of funding for Pop Warner's program and maintenance costs, and on Friday, any duffer can feel like a pro by joining the event.

The outing will be held at Twin Brooks Country Club, and will be followed by a dinner reception—and Martinis 'till Midnight—at The Stone House Restaurant.

Dinner will start at 7:30 p.m., complete with appetizers, four dinner stations including pasta, Kobe beef and tuna sliders, grilled meats and veggies, etc., dessert and an open bar until midnight.

For your entertainment, there will be a live band and a silent auction featuring high end jewelry, Tory Burch sunglasses/handbags, golf at Plainfield C.C. and Baltusrol C.C., an ipad, an iPad mini, Rutgers football tickets and Yankee tickets.

Pop Warner greatly appreciates any support, whether it’s attending the golf and dinner reception, dinner only, tee sponsorship, donating items for the raffle or participating in the “wine pull” event.

This event is the organization’s major fundraising effort of the year. All proceeds from the outing are invested into the program and allow them to continue to maintain the Pop Warner complex at 101 Old Stirling Road, including the annual and monthly costs incurred for grass cutting, garbage removal, turf grooming and maintenance, insurance, utilities to operate the house as well as the continued purchase of the best equipment available for our boys and girls.

Watchung Hills Pop Warner opened up its registration for its 2013 football and cheerleading season. All children ages 5-15 living in Warren, Watchung, Long Hill Township, Bernards Township, Berkeley Heights, Green Brook and New Providence are eligible to register. Teams are organized by strict age and weight requirements ensuring a level playing field for all.

Practices and games are held at their state-of-the-art football complex with FieldTurf playing surface, strength and conditioning facility and field house with film and locker rooms located at 101 Old Stirling Road in Warren. All of the program’s football and cheerleading coaches are Rutgers certified and involved in numerous off-season coaching clinics in order to provide your children with the best instruction possible.
