Sunday event planned with one eye on recruitment, and another on community outreach

UPDATED: The Warren Township Rescue Squad will host an open house 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (May 15) with opportunities for residents to meet squad volunteers and learn more about the squad.

The event will also include tours of the squad headquarters, displayed ambulances, giveaways and refreshments.

The opne house is aimed at not only informing people about what the squad does, but also to perhaps find a new member or two. A new program is being launched to help make it easier for residents to volunteer— flexible shifts for new members, with no requirement to stay at the building.
