No Injuries After Pickup Overturns on I78

Afternoon accident had blocked lane briefly, but now open.

A pickup truck traveling westbound on I-78 overturned at about 2:50 p.m., but state police said no injuries were reported in the incident. The accident occurred at the King George Road exit. The overturned truck briefly blocked the left lane on the highway, but police said the lane has been cleared.

Woman Airlifted After 2-Car Crash on I-78

Both vehicles overturn after colliding near King George exit, State Police said.

A 32-year-old woman was taken by Medevac transport to Morristown Medical Center after she was ejected from the vehicle she driving on I-78, east of the King George Road exit, struck another vehicle at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, state police said. The woman's name has not been released. Police said she was in stable condition and conscious at the time of being airlifted. UPDATE: Driver's condition upgraded to fair, according to state police. The vehicles appear to have collided while traveling in the westbound lane, causing both to overturn. The woman's vehicle went off the road, and down an embankment, while the other remained on the road. I completely agree with you on wishing police would ticket slow drivers in the left lane. My point is 78 is a really busy highway, and there are too many fast and aggressive drivers, weaving in and out of heavy traffic. I drive on 78 everyday to my job in the city. I loathe it.   more ›
