A video submitted to Summit Patch by parent Nancy Lancellotti Wilson captured the performance by her son's band, Snow Respect, at the Watchung Hills Elks Lodge Music Festival, Saturday. The event was a fundraiser to support the lodge's suppport for area special needs children. Snow Respect was one of about a dozen bands performing at the event. The band's members are Cameron Wilson, on bass, drummer Chris Cummings, Jared Levinson on guitar, and vocalist Olivia Ferrer. The Watchung Hills Elks Lodge has lined up nearly a dozen area bands to perform Saturday in the lodge's first music festival aimed at helped the lodge sponsor a week at camp for two special needs children. Lodge leader Kim Girgus said the event should help the lodge raise about $2,000, which will be used to sponsor two autistic children for a week at Camp Moore, a camp operated by New Jersey Elks Lodges specifically for special needs children. "It's a special week for the kids and the families have a nice break, too," Girgus said. The music starts at 3 p.m. and will continue until midnight, with a steady rotation of bands, each performing for about 45 minutes.
