Warren police investigating burglary as shop was closed for the season.
County workers preparing the Warrenbrook Golf Course shop to open for the season discovered the shop had been broken into sometime between Nov. 2 and Tuesday, according to a report field with Warren Police yesterday. The burglary was reported at 8:32 a.m. Items taken from the shop totaled $1,763 in value and included two GPS positioning units.

Warren Police reports.
A Bound Brook resident reported a cell phone, valued at $600, was stolen Sunday. Police said the report was made at 4:45 p.m., and the victim reported the phone stolen while at Uproot Restaurant.

Warren Township Police report four motor vehicle accidents.
An accident on Mt. Bethel Road March 22 sent Warren resident Christine Carroll, 56, to Overlook Medical Center for treatment. The accident occurred at 12:27 p.m. near the intersection of Mt. Bethel Road and Hillcrest Boulevard, when a vehicle driven by Dhiman Karmaker, 50, of Lawrenceville, hit the rear of Carroll's vehicle, and caused it to hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Audra Frank, 61, of Stewartsville. Karmaker was charged with careless driving. The accident was one of four added this week to the accidents map. Warren police say he took jewelry from residence.
Malcolm Armstrong, 26, of Irvington, was charged with theft Monday, following an investigation into a burglary reported at a Wychwood Way residence earlier in the day. He was charged after investigators said he took jewelry from the property, while working at the site for a construction company hired to work on the property, police said. He is not a suspect in other local burglaries at this time. Armstrong was turned over to Somerset County Jail, pending an appearance in court today.

Warren Township Police report five motor vehicle accidents this week.
Warren Police responded to several accidents caused by drivers losing control of their vehicles and crashing off the roadway during the last week. None of the accidents led to injuries, however, a three-car accident on Mountain Boulevard did—but all drivers refused treatment at the scene. Warren police report Plainfield pair stealing from Picut Manufacturing.
Timothy Bailey, 26, and Demetrius Stephens, 29, both of Plainfield, were charged with theft Saturday, according to police. Police said the men were found taking scrap metal at Picut Manufacturing at 4:44 a.m. Saturday. They were released after the charges were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Warren Township Police report break-ins.
Two Blazier Road residents reported vehicles broken into, police said. The reports were made Friday afternoon, with the first made at 3:45 p.m., when a resident reported two pairs of sunglasses, valued at $250, were taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway. The second report was made at 4:22 p.m. The resident said about $20 in quarters was taken. The break-ins followed two occurring on Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Warren police accident reports.
Warren Township Police responded to six motor vehicle accident reports this week, including a three-car accident that sent one man to Somerset Medical Center for tretament of minor injuries. Several other accidents included drivers reporting minor pains, but refusing medical treatment. This week's accident reports are marked by balloons, with a red balloon noting accidents with injuries requiring medical attention. Previous week's accidents are marked by push pins. Warren Township police report Tuesday night incidents.
Warren police are investigating two reported vehicle burglaries that occurred sometime during Tuesday night or early Wednesday. A Casale Drive South resident reported at 7:20 a.m. that items in a vehicle parked at the residence had been stolen. The missing items included change, CDs and a radar detector. The second report was made at about 6 p.m. by Ferguson Road resident, who reported a window on the vehicle had been smashed. The resident was unable to determine what had been taken, and told polcie the vehicle was already taken for repairs.
