Census Shows Warren Growing More Diverse, Older
Township adds 1,052 residents between 2000 and 2010.
Warren Township's population grew by 7.3 percent between 2000 and 2010, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau Thursday, as well as growing more racially diverse and a little older. The Census data reported a 2010 population of 15,311, up 1,051 from 2000's reported 14,259. Somerset County grew 8.7 percent in the decade. The report also broke down the racial and ethnic populations for Warren, with several groups showing substantial growth. The population of residents reporting Hispanic ethnicity rose from 455 to 820, an 80 percent increase, while the local Asian population grew by 51.6 percent, from 1,521 to 2,307.
